GFOA Leadership Institute, GFOA Certified Public Officer Certification, or GFOA National Conference:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Any currently employed Government Finance Employee with at least three (3) years’ experience in the field of government finance in New England.
- Citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. residing in New England.
- Recommendation by immediate supervisor and/or an NESGFOA member.
Criteria for Scholarship Award:
- Plans to enhance her/his career in state and local government finance or public administration.
- Accomplishments in government finance.
- Letter(s) of Recommendation by your immediate supervisor and/or an NESGFOA member, and others.
- Statement of how this program will help you to enhance your government finance abilities.
Additional Documents Needed:
- Statement of proposed career plan in state and local government finance and plan of graduate study (if applicable).
- Résumé.
- Letter(s) of Recommendation from your immediate supervisor or Finance Department Head and/or an NESGFOA member.
- Other letters of recommendation (optional).
Annual NESGFOA Spring Seminar or Fall Conference:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Any currently employed Government Finance Employee or a junior or senior undergraduate and/or graduate student seeking a degree in public administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Funds may be used for conference or seminar fee and lodging.
